Happy Independence day!!!
I was reading about the Gadsden flag because I was thinking about the battle cry “Don’t Tread on Me”
reading the wiki article I was reminded why this flag had a snake
“It had been the policy of Britain to send convicted criminals to America, and Franklin suggested that they thank the British by sending rattlesnakes to England.”
it is sad that 232 years later we have not figured out how to reform criminals.
take some time this Independence day to refresh you mind of why our founding fathers formed our country.
