IL House hears Prison Reform Ideas Today

The Illinois House committee today heard testimony from dozens of groups and individuals supporting and offering ideas for IL prison reform. The testimony included strong support for the reinstatement of the “Early Release” Programs, which IDOC Director, Michael Randle said were under review.

“Rep. Karen Yarbrough, who hosted the hearing, said the decision to halt the (Early Release) program was “nothing but mired in politics.” Read full article below at:
