Why is the Register Star pushing us to sign petitions for parolees?

if you read the Register Star on line you will notice they have been posting a lot of stories wanting its readers to make a judgement on a case they have not seen all of the evidence for. don’t get me wrong I think that we need to keep guilty murders in prison but why is a newspaper the driving force behind these petitions.
