PARIS, Ill. (WTHI) – We’ve told you about the failing state of the Edgar County jail in Paris, Illinois. This month, the sheriff met with the county board and the Illinois Department of Corrections to explain the dire situation and to propose his plan on the future of corrections in Edgar County.
It’s a story we’ve reported on for several years now. Close to three years ago we got a first look, along with county officials, on the deplorable conditions of the Edgar County jail.
Since that time, Sheriff Ed Motley said he has done his best to upgrade the current facility. Still the state has said the old part of the jail should be shut down; which would mean moving the inmates.
I would hope they demolish it,framing people here in edgar co.,putting them in jail refusing them medical treatment, starving them, its time it goes,
starving them of melatonin with artificial light
causing memory loss ect. Ect.
Set the prisoners free until trial
Get them real lawyers
