US cable network Investigation Discovery has greenlit an hour-long special/pilot about wrongful convictions from Toronto-based Lively Media. The company is preparing to shoot the project, working titled The Accused, for Discovery in both the US and Canada, looking at the “personal toll and story” behind two cases of wrongful conviction. In a separate deal with CBC, Lively has also started work on the 2×60 doc Run Run Revolution, following a gaggle of unfit grade school students as they train to run in the youth version of the Boston Marathon. Both are “dream projects to produce,” said Lively president and executive Leanna Crouch.
